“Friendship with the Lord is reserved for those who fear Him. With them He shares the secrets of His covenant.”
Psalm 25:14 (NLT)
MARCH 17 - I hear it far too often, “Pastor, I just want to know God’s will for my life.” My simple response to them is, “What does His Word tell you to do?” Have you stopped to realize that God rarely speaks to those who are unwilling to do His Word? His will for our lives is simple—obey His Word! When Israel obeyed, eagerly and respectfully following God’s desires, things went great. But when they stubbornly ignored Him, their enemies were waiting at the front gate!
Obedience to His Word is His will for our lives. Some may say, “Well, Pastor, who am I supposed to marry… What am I supposed to do for a career…?” Obey! Obey! Obey! There is no way around it.
Obedience is the path that leads you down God’s hidden will for your life. He does not, and will not, reveal His hidden will until we first do His known will. As you journey down the path of obedience, a divine peace will capture your soul concerning the unknown will of God for your life. Refuse to follow the example of the ancient Israelites when they ignored God. Choose now to obey!
Daily Confession
Father, I thank You that I am a doer of Your Word and I am continually transformed. I choose to obey having complete confidence that Your unknown will for my life will be manifest.
