The Greatest Achievers You Will Ever Meet Are the Greatest Learners You Will Ever Find

“Intelligent people are always open to new ideas. In fact, they look for them.”
Proverbs 18:15
“The wise person makes learning a joy; fools spout only foolishness.”
Proverbs 15:2

JUNE 6 - At the time of Christ’s birth, Rome had illustriously become the world’s alternative to God. As the master of the world, Rome began to fall into unearned wealth through slavery, immorality, laziness, and obsession with worldly pleasures. They had achieved much, but learned little. Wisdom in the Roman Empire was as scarce as the reading of the Law. As Christians, however, we can be so grateful to God for where He takes us. He gave us wisdom and insight from His Word that we otherwise could not discover. Our present situation is a reflection of how well we use the knowledge God gave us. Nevertheless, if we are to achieve more, we need to learn more.

Knowledge—it floods today’s world with the force of the Seven Seas! The trouble we have is deciding what we want to learn, and then devoting ourselves explicitly to it. The best way to solve this dilemma is to determine what you really need in order to be more successful at your current assignment.

Your goal is never simply raw information. On the contrary, you must refine raw information into wisdom and understanding in order to apply it to your life. From there, the sky is the limit! Make the choice to dedicate yourself to learn what it takes to excel in a specific area of life. Don’t look back. Once you make the choice, stick to your commitment.

The Most Valueable Person You Will Ever Encounter In Life Is An Authentic Problem Solver

“This man Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, has a sharp mind and is filled with divine knowledge and understanding. He can interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve difficult problems. Call for Daniel, and he will tell you what the writing means.”
Daniel 5:12 (NLT)

APRIL 19 - Mind-baffling dreams, unexplained prophecies, futuristic visions. Daniel was known as a man who could solve difficult problems. His devotion to excellence and growth was unprecedented, and those traits brought him before greatness. His rewards were no laughing matter—high positions of governmental authority in one of the greatest empires of all time, an array of lavish riches, fine clothing, and honor. At times, like the one mentioned in this verse, Daniel was the sole individual who could solve the problem at hand. That made him the most valuable person around. So, how about you?

• Can the same be said of you, that you have a daily commitment to excellence and growth?
• Do you prepare to solve greater problems?
• Do you make yourself available for those who can bring promotion to your life?

As we’ve seen with Daniel, there is a hefty price to pay for these noble ideals, but as we’ve also seen, the reward is well worth it. May God help you to recognize and solve the problems that will bring the greatest return to your life!

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that like Daniel, a spirit of excellence lives inside of me. I thank You for helping me recognize the problems around me and for giving me the grace I need to solve them.
