When Compromise Enters The Room Disappointment Is Soon To Follow

“If the Godly compromise with the wicked, it is like polluting a
fountain or muddying a spring.”

Proverbs 25:26 (NLT)

APRIL 18 - Let’s take a quick look at an incredible illustration from nature — the penguin. Traveling many miles from their natural habitat (the ocean), the emperor penguin breeds at specific, often desolate, dangerously icy sites, laying and caring for their eggs in the world’s most inhospitable region. Not even 80° below zero temperatures cause these birds to quit. No, they never turn back; they have decided to give no place to compromise.

We must become people of principle. No matter what situation arises, we must never compromise our integrity for anyone, ever. Why is that? Because we have to live with our actions every night when we go home, gazing at ourselves before the mirror every day. We cannot afford to commit ourselves partially to anything. For the most part, principled people do not always feel like doing the things that they must do. Even so, they act by examining the long-term results of every one of their decisions.

If we compromise our principles, we abandon our fortified base and find ourselves behind enemy lines—without weapons, armor, or communication. It is a task that the Commander-in-Chief of Heaven’s Armed Forces never appointed to us. Compromise is strictly forbidden in His army. Those who do so are captured by the enemy and forced to defect. Divine rescue missions are rarely successful, and those who compromise
are often gone for good. Keep a close watch on yourself and on your service to the King. Although you may find yourself in the most inhospitable region, like the penguin, never allow yourself to compromise your principles for anyone, anywhere, for any reason. It would be a terrible day to be tried for treason by the King of kings.

Daily Confession

Father, I refuse to compromise. I live by Your Word and am guided by Your statutes and commands. I understand failure waits for those who compromise, but I win because I  choose a principled life.
