What You Experience Today Are Little More Than Thoughts Yesterday

“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”
Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV)

NOVEMBER 19 - The range of voices and the gallery of thoughts that enter your mind are seeds. You have a choice over which seeds get planted, and which get rejected. Your heart becomes the fertile soil where those
seeds are planted. When planted, those seeds mature and produce fruit in your life.

There is no way to avoid this process of “heart germination,” for the Bible tells us in Proverbs 4:23 that this is how God designed the human heart to function. “Keep [manage, tend, protect, safeguard, watch over,
preserve, chaperon, care for, be a good steward over] your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” The only way to assure good outcomes in your life is to plant good seeds in your heart.
When I was going through a difficult time in my life, it was because early in my childhood, bad seeds were planted in my heart, grew up, and produced bad fruit. Destructive thought-seeds take root and begin
to grow because you choose to believe them. Erroneously, you begin to believe that what they say is the truth. You begin to believe evil about yourself. However, it is important to realize that any thought left
unchallenged is established as fact.

Why not deposit an abundant crop of good seeds into your heart today, so that you too create a bountiful future?

Father, I thank You that my heart is the soil where my thoughts become seeds that create my future.

A Man Who Ignors The Truth Is On The Pathway To Destruction

“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge…”
Hosea 4:6 (NIV)

NOVEMBER 18 - Jesus proclaimed that His Word is truth and those who know the truth shall be set free. Regardless of what we plainly see, distinctively hear, or clearly perceive with our natural senses, God’s Word still holds true. It amazes me that God’s people perish from a lack of knowledge because of the simple fact that God gave us His Word so that ignorance would be eradicated in our lives.

The truth of God’s Word brings light to any dead and dark situation. As we begin to meditate upon the pages of God’s written Word, freedom begins to manifest itself in our lives.

• His Word brings understanding where there was no understanding.
• His Word brings hope where there was no hope.
• His Word brings freedom where once there was once only bondage.

God desires for all of His people to be free and live long, healthy, and abundant lives. But until we embrace the truth of God’s Word, it is impossible to walk in the freedom that God provided for us or to become victorious in that truth.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that You gave me Your written Word. I meditate upon Your Word and apply it to every situation bringing light into all areas of my life. I know the truth of Your Word and the truth makes me free.

Your Relationship Quotient

After observing interpersonal relationships for over three decades, Dr. Robb Thompson made a remarkable discovery that he wants to share with you: Contrary to popular belief, the outcome of your life is not determined by your intelligence (IQ), your physical appearance/abilities (PQ), or your ability to manage your emotions (EQ). Your life is determined by your ability to link yourself with those who carry your future within them – your Relationship Quotient.

Using compelling personal examples, Dr. Thompson illustrates how his own life changed for the better only when he changed his relationships. He presents profound principles that will alter the course of your future, if applied – principles such as:

• In life, you decide your relationships; then your relationships decide your destiny.
• If you want to accurately predict a man’s future, just take a look at his present friends.
• Relationships are magnetic – pulling you closer to or driving you further away from your divine destiny.

Proverbs 13:20 says, “Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces” (Message). Are you ready to change your future? It’s time to raise your Relationship Quotient!

While People Of The World Choose Conformation, Those Who Believe In God Choose Transformation

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

NOVEMBER 17 - Your mind can only hold one thought at a time. Therefore, the easiest way to get rid of negative thoughts is to replace them with positive thoughts. The most effective way to do this is with your spoken words. Your mind has to entertain what your mouth says.

The mind is never empty; it is always occupied with a thought. Spoken words override unspoken thoughts. By substituting your thoughts, you can replace troubling thoughts with a God-thought that has the power to transform your life.

You can’t be filled with nagging fear, relentless doubt, and abject worry when you constantly meditate upon God’s Word. As long as you don’t allow negative thoughts to be planted into your mind, growing like weeds in your flower garden, you discover peace, joy, and happiness. But the transformation of your life is linked to your commitment to change the way you think.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I am not conformed to this world but I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. My mind is renewed by Your Word.

Freedom Is Yours The Moment You Trust Heaven’s Opinion

“I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to Your commandments.”
Psalm 119:45 (NLT)

NOVEMBER 16 - “As the scriptures hath said.” It was a customary phrase for Jesus—quoting the scriptures, bringing knowledge and freedom to the children of Israel. So always remember, there is no freedom outside of the Word of God. The Scripture tells us we are all born slaves to sin.

Through our acceptance of what Jesus Christ did on the cross, we are set free from the bondage of sin. Even though we have been set free, we still wonder how to walk in that freedom. It is one thing to be free, but walking in the fullness of that freedom is something completely different. I am convinced that the most miserable man in the universe is the one who has been set free, yet has no idea how to walk it out.

God gave us the knowledge we need in order to walk in the fullness of our redemption. We know David discovered it because of the words he penned, “I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to Your
Word.” So many see that as information they already know, but to David, it was revelation that utterly transformed his life. David’s decision to devote himself to the Word of God enabled him to walk in the liberty that was rightfully his…and the same holds true for us. It is of necessity that we commit ourselves to meditate on the Word of God every day. In whatever area you may struggle, the freedom you desire lies within the pages of God’s holy Word.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that my freedom lies within the pages of Your Word. I embrace what You say and exchange what I think for what You think. I am free and I reign over the sin that had me bound.

Promotion Belongs To The Boss’s Pet — Ask Any Mediocre Employee

“Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before unknown men.”
Proverbs 22:29 (NKJV)

OCTOBER 29 - As Jesus instructed His disciples to preach to the people of Israel, He realized that many would not listen to the disciples’ words—they would, conversely, persecute, harass, and hate the very ones who
brought the truth of God’s Kingdom. Deceived by the enemy, Jesus reminded the disciples to simply “shake off the dust” from those cities that would not receive them. Yet, those cities did not realize that their chance for promotion exited along with the disciples.

If we hear the principles of the Word, but do not apply them to our daily life, we deceive ourselves. We may dream of being promoted, in either our career or spiritual life, but we never see any type of promotion
arrive until we apply God’s principles to our life. We must go from conversation to demonstration in every aspect of our living. We must understand that promotion is a reward, not a right. God guarantees promotion to the person who is willing to apply the principles they learn from His Word. God’s principles, when put into

effect, work for you.

The moment you begin to embrace God’s principles is the moment you are on your way to receiving the promotion you rightly deserve.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You for the principles You established in Your Word. I commit to walk in excellence knowing that promotion soon follows. I do not only hear the Word, but I do it.

Your Actions Are Proof Of Where Your Heart Has Already Been

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.”
Matthew 12:35 (NKJV)

JULY 7 -  Why do we find the little girl continuously perusing the doll section of the toy store? Why is the schoolteacher the first to arrive and the last to leave? How is it that Jesus was always found in the temple debating the Scriptures?

We go where our heart goes. Solomon encourages us to guard our heart above all else, for out of it spring the issues of life. There is no greater aspect of our lives than the purity of our heart. God can work within us only to the degree that we keep our hearts pure. Jesus stated, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things.”

Nestled in the seclusion of the hills of Galilee, Nazareth was the place where the angel announced the Messiah’s birth to Mary. Now, with pure hearts, Joseph and Mary returned to their former residence that was to be home to Jesus until His thirtieth birthday.

What is stored in your heart? And what path has your heart already traveled? We must continually check the condition of our heart, because our life moves in the same direction. We must realize that our actions always follow the path where our heart has already been. We can protect our heart and fill it to overflowing with ingredients that lead us down the path God desires for us.

Daily Confession

Above all else, I guard my heart knowing that the wellsprings of life flow out from it. I bring forth good things out of the good treasure that lies within my heart. I am pure and God moves mightily in my life.

The Key To Life Rests In The Delicate Arms Of Balance

“In all matters requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, the king found the advice of these young men to be ten times better than that of all the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom.”
Daniel 1:20 (NLT)

JULY 2 - What does it mean to have balanced judgment? Picture a large, impressive diamond. If you look at it from a distance, it appears rather flat. But once you clutch the diamond inside your hand, you can examine at it from all angles and realize how truly intricate it is.

Balanced judgment is the ability to consider all the facets of an issue and then be able to synthesize one complete, diamond-like understanding. That understanding encompasses everything about the issue. It allows a person to know which facet is most important at the moment in order to skillfully answer the questions at hand.

Our ability to balance our lives comes from having a complete, multifaceted view of everything life entails. If we get trapped in the world of business, we forget the facet of family. If family time becomes
overemphasized, we begin to overlook the facet of service to God and humanity. Jesus’ life was fully balanced right from the start. Each phase of His life was firmly planned; each circumstance sensibly cultivated. He was born in Bethlehem for a purpose, and fled to the foreign soil of Egypt for another.

And as we look steadily into the Word of God and do what it says, all the facets of life become much clearer—we are able to see how big, or how small, each one is to become according to God’s standards, and
then we truly are able to have balance in our lives.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You for giving me Your Word, which shows me how to balance my life. In all matters requiring wisdom I thank You that the Holy Spirit leads me into all truth.

Your Seed Is The Greatest Tool To Achieve A Transformed Life

“Jesus also said, ‘Here is another illustration of what the Kingdom of God is like: a farmer planted seeds in a field, and then he went on with his other activities. As the days went by, the seeds sprouted and grew without the farmer’s help, because the earth produces crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens. And as soon as the grain is ready, the farmer comes and harvests it with a sickle.’”
Mark 4:26-29 (NLT)

JULY 1 - As a child, do you remember tossing about those winged “helicopter” seeds, watching them whirl and float through the air? In reality, those winged creatures were maple seeds, carried upon the wind, divinely planted, and grown in diverse habitats. The scriptures tell us that when we plant a seed, it grows up and produces fruit, even though we don’t know how.

God engineered the laws of the universe so that every seed we sow matures and produces a harvest. Some people argue that they have no means to sow, but that simply isn’t true. The problem is we look at what we don’t have, rather than what we do. Let’s begin this moment to look at everything we do have. Because when we resolve to do so, we are always ready to eagerly give.

Now think of how powerful a seed is. Though small at first, it can overturn the concrete in our greatest cities. Your seed—your time, heart, money, attitude, words, and skills—can radically transform your life if you let it. But like Jesus said, you have to be willing to let your seed fall to the ground and “die” so that something can come of \it. In fact, you must be willing to make your whole life a seed, dying to yourself so that your life can produce fruit for others. And that’s a harvest worth waiting for.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that as I sow my life, I reap an eternal harvest. I sow today and stand firm expecting a harvest from my seed.

Life Is Never Defined Not By What You Can Get, But By What You Can Give Away

“In the same way, the Lord gave orders that those who preach the Good News should be supported by those who benefit from it. Yet I have never used any of these rights. And I am not writing this to suggest that I would like to start now. In fact, I would rather die than lose my distinction of preaching without charge… What then is my pay? It is the satisfaction I get from preaching the Good News without expense to anyone, never demanding my rights as a preacher.”
1 Corinthians 9:14-15, 18 (NLT)

JUNE 21 - What an incredible man Paul was! The situation described here is a result of the shortcomings of the Corinthians. Though Paul was their spiritual father, the one who freely gave of himself so they could hear the Gospel, they did not treat him justly. Instead, they unwisely gave honor to people who did much less for them in comparison to Paul.

And what was Paul’s response recorded in the Scriptures above?

• He never demanded his rights.
• He diligently worked to add to the Corinthians, not to use them for his opportunistic gain.

Do you go to work adding value, or are you like crawdads in a bucket? Every time one crawdad almost makes his way out of the bucket by walking all over the other guys, another crawdad reaches up, pinches his leg, and pulls him right back to where he started. You can live that way if you choose, but you will have nothing to show for it. Instead, be the one to propel others to their promotion. Go to work to add value, not to use others.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that above all things I prosper and walk in health even as my soul prospers.

Certainly you can find all types of contests in which to compete and a host of valuable prizes to covet in today’s society. Are you equipped to win the prize and obtain the goal? In this package, Dr. Robb Thompson explains to you how to win the ultimate prize of life – the heart of your Heavenly Father.

Using illustrations from the lives of Biblical men and women, Dr. Thompson vividly portrays what it means to be a person after God’s own heart and how to do the necessary examining of your own heart in the process. He tackles the all-important topics of submission and covenant loyalty – scriptural concepts that are frequently shunned and swept under the collective rug in Christendom today.

As Dr. Thompson so succinctly asks, “What else do you have in life, if you don’t have the heart of the Father?” That’s a question only you can answer for yourself. Pursue the prize of your Father’s heart, and watch everything else in your life fall into place (Matthew 6:33).

Heaven’s Words Are Rudders Of the Ship Which Guide You Through The Storms Of Life

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)

MAY 26 - Rome’s invincible legions (tough units of 6,000 professional fighting men) enforced peace throughout the empire, among which was the tiny town of Bethlehem. These soldiers possessed razor-sharp
swords, edged with blood dried from their latest victim, tangible proof they were fully prepared for the next battle, the next war. Each of us is in a battle, a raging war that is being fought upon the battlefield of our mind. God gave us twin tactical weapons with which to fight–His Word and our mouth. But we must faithfully use these weapons to pull down and bring into captivity every traitorous thought to the obedience of Christ.

The thoughts you harbor in your mind are potent seeds that soon develop and produce after their own kind. If a thought is not constructive, it is destructive. There is no middle ground. There are no neutral thoughts—although Satan wants you to believe otherwise!

All self-limiting thoughts of weakness, impending failure, unhappiness, or poverty are harmful and self-destructive. If God did not say it, then we are not authorized to think it. Those thoughts are fatal enemies and trenchant thieves, attempting to hinder our future progress. The key is to counterattack with the ruthlessness of the Roman soldier, and substitute those thoughts with God’s Word whenever they try to gain ascendancy in our minds.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I think upon Your Word. I choose to meditate upon what is pure, noble, just, lovely, and that which is of a good report!
