Your Actions Are Proof Of Where Your Heart Has Already Been

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.”
Matthew 12:35 (NKJV)

JULY 7 -  Why do we find the little girl continuously perusing the doll section of the toy store? Why is the schoolteacher the first to arrive and the last to leave? How is it that Jesus was always found in the temple debating the Scriptures?

We go where our heart goes. Solomon encourages us to guard our heart above all else, for out of it spring the issues of life. There is no greater aspect of our lives than the purity of our heart. God can work within us only to the degree that we keep our hearts pure. Jesus stated, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things.”

Nestled in the seclusion of the hills of Galilee, Nazareth was the place where the angel announced the Messiah’s birth to Mary. Now, with pure hearts, Joseph and Mary returned to their former residence that was to be home to Jesus until His thirtieth birthday.

What is stored in your heart? And what path has your heart already traveled? We must continually check the condition of our heart, because our life moves in the same direction. We must realize that our actions always follow the path where our heart has already been. We can protect our heart and fill it to overflowing with ingredients that lead us down the path God desires for us.

Daily Confession

Above all else, I guard my heart knowing that the wellsprings of life flow out from it. I bring forth good things out of the good treasure that lies within my heart. I am pure and God moves mightily in my life.

All Failure Is Linked To A Disreguarded Instruction

“My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. If you live a life guided by wisdom, you won’t limp or stumble as you run. Carry out my instructions; don’t forsake them. Guard them, for they will lead you to a fulfilled life.”
Proverbs 4:10-13 (NLT)

MARCH 7 - The Word of God constantly points us in the direction of success in all areas of life. We have the blueprint of success achieved by the men and women of God who ran this race before us. This blueprint shows us the reward of a life filled with wisdom.

The only times we have breakdowns in our lives is simply because we missed, disobeyed, or disregarded an instruction. We basically missed an ingredient in the recipe of life. However, when we follow the instructions of the Master and do what He says, we can expect a life of fulfillment and peace with others.

Remember, failure comes only to those who do not choose the narrow pathway that leads to success. Today, why not strive for the application of the wisdom of God and watch how your life is transformed and blessed!

Daily Confession

Father, I listen to Your Word and I do what You say. I live a life guided by wisdom; I won’t limp or stumble as I run. I carry out Your instructions and guard them for they lead me to a fulfilled life.

Obedience Is The Key That Opens The Door For Heaven’s Direction

“Now the Lord had said to Abram: ‘Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you’ …so Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him.”
Genesis 12:1, 4 (NKJV)

JANUARY 25 - Psalm 37:23 tells us, “The steps of the Godly are directed by the Lord, for He delights in every detail of their lives.” When a young child takes his first steps, unexpected things happen—misshapen movements, irregular strides, and hard falls. But as this same child listens to tender, reassuring parental instruction, he gets back up. Almost every parent loves to cheer on their child as they take those initial steps.

God does not and cannot direct the steps of everyone; only those who choose to comply, those who listen with ready ears to His instructions. We see a man in Genesis who chose to comply with the voice of God. God commanded Abram to travel to a place about which he knew nothing. Abram’s response was immediate, unparalleled obedience. Because of Abram’s readiness to act, God was able to direct his steps. Not every path the Lord leads you on is freshly paved, bordered with colorful flowers, and totally detour free—actually, quite the opposite is true. Nevertheless, God’s paths consistently lead you to an abundant harvest.

Remember, Heaven can only direct the steps of the individual who is willing to act upon God’s Word, but we must choose to immediately obey His promptings. As we quickly comply to Heaven’s orders by taking those first steps of obedience with the innocence of a young child, we experience God’s mighty hand of precise direction, abundant provision, and steadfast protection.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You for directing my steps so that no sin comes upon my life. Thank You that You delight in every detail of my life. I act upon Your Word, knowing that Your mighty hand directs me.

From Provision To Prosperity - Confession CDs

Coming from a background where he once had to stay home from school because he had no clothes to wear, Dr. Robb Thompson understands what it’s like to struggle with thoughts of poverty and lack. After giving his life to Jesus Christ, he learned how to replace the negative thoughts of want and insufficiency with God’s thoughts of prosperity and abundance.

He passes this vital lesson to you in From Provision to Prosperity, one of the powerful audio CDs from the Great Exchange Collection. The key to experiencing freedom in your thought life is to replace your thoughts with God’s thoughts. This audio CD has verses and confessions for you to speak over your life. As a result you will move from a “just enough” attitude to a “more than enough” attitude!
