“How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed and keeping watch [on himself] according to Your Word [conforming his life to it].”
Psalm 119:9 (AMP)
MAY 11 - Right this moment we need to stop using His Word as some sort of tool, erroneously attempting to “hammer out” all our negative circumstances. Instead, why not begin to use His Word as our guide, an informative, life-altering travel guide through life? Lately I have witnessed individuals neglect God’s Word (and it is becoming more prevalent in the church today) until they need help in a certain area of their lives. Their marriage struggles so they discover what they need to do get their marriage back on track, but then they refuse to govern their business by God’s Word. So, as their marriage begins to smooth out, their business begins to crumble and the cycle begins once again. This is not the way God intended life to be!
What does it mean to apply our lives to the Word? It means:
To live by it; to obey its every instruction; to pursue it, and seek
the truth that it contains; to base every thought, word, and decision
on it; to filter every relationship through it; to embrace the authority
by which it stands; to see it as truth, and act accordingly.
God’s Word must govern our lives. Jesus said it like this, “Why do you call Me Lord, Lord and do not do the things I say?” Israel’s triumphant military could have never claimed Moshe Dayan as their Major General if they were not willing to apply their lives to the expertise of his training and education. And we cannot claim Jesus as our Lord yet be unwilling to apply our lives to His Word. The moment we build our lives around His Word is the moment He truly becomes the Lord of our lives.
Daily Confession
Father, I thank You that I please You by heeding and keeping Your Word. I pursue and obey Your instruction and apply my life to Your Word.

All For Hymn: Piano Sessions - CD
The old adage, “They don’t write ‘em like they used to” could certainly apply to the hymns recorded on this CD. These hymns reflect the greatness, majesty, and faithfulness of God and have stood the test of time.
These piano sessions were recorded in a time of worship. Improvisations increased while the hymnsmwere being recorded, which led to new melodic themes and different harmonic structures. Some sessions had more of a classical ‘vibe’ (Holy, Holy, Holy); while some had a gentle quality (Amazing Grace).
Song List:
1. Holy, Holy, Holy
2. The Old Rugged Cross
3. My Jesus I Love Thee
4. Sweet Hour Of Prayer
5. In The Garden
6. Great Is Thy Faithfulness
7. Be Still My Soul
8. Amazing Grace w/ Jesus Loves Me
9. Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
10. Shall We Gather / Sweet By And By
