Experiece Is The Teacher That Never Passed Her Test

“Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, ‘Let us go up at once and possess it; we are well able to conquer it.’ But his fellow scouts said, ‘We are not able to go up against the people [of Canaan], for they are stronger than we are.’”
Numbers 13:30-31 (AMP)

OCTOBER 14 - You can say what you have or you can have what you say. Since the fall, man filters God’s Word through his experience. We erroneously tell God:

  • How big our situation is.
  • What is happening to us.
  • Why we may not make it.

However, we should instead tell our situation just how big our God is. Is God’s Word true or are circumstances true?

God calls that which does not exist as though it does exist. Let us do the very same thing and begin to declare what God speaks in His Word. We must refuse the temptation to believe our circumstances over His Word. Believing and acting on God’s Word is the key to receiving anything promised from the Lord.

God responds to our faith, and our circumstances respond to our actions. What we say and do determine the outcome of our lives. Let us be willing and obedient to believe only what our Heavenly Father says about our situations.

Father, I thank You that I keep a watch over my tongue. My tongue has the power of life and death. I choose to speak Your Word only, holding fast to my confession of faith. I am satisfied from the harvest of my lips.
