Progress Is Guaranteed To Those Who Pursue Improvement

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

DECEMBER 12 - To evolve means to gradually acquire new traits or characteristics. In order to improve in any endeavor, we must be willing to acquire new traits and skills. These new acquisitions cause us to excel above the rest. Always remember: The excellent get ahead during the times the mediocre waste.

We must spend any spare moment to improve our relationship with God, marriage, friendships, or our personal character. Our time is precious, and time is the price we must pay in order to see our lives continually improve.

• Why are people unwilling to evolve?
• Why don’t people want to change?

There are two reasons that I have discovered over the course of many years of ministry. The first reason is that people have a fear of failure. Ask the person who tried to overcome a negative habit in the last few years why they gave up. It is because they continually failed and don’t want to go through the pain of acknowledging their unwillingness to overcome that way of life. The second reason people don’t want to change is because they don’t know how. The desire is there, but the teacher to instruct them is not. I am focused on one thing…change. When people come around me, they have the desire to change things in their lives. Why is that? Because that is how it is with God. The moment we got saved, He has been changing us and He has not stopped since.

Father, I thank You that I am a new creature. Old things are passed away; behold, everything has become new. I am righteous because I am in Christ and Christ is in me.

Pain And Struggle Line The Pathway To Success

“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint…”
Romans 5:3-5 (NKJV)

OCTOBER 20 - I noticed that those who understand success and have achieved success view failure differently from those who don’t succeed. The way we interpret failure determines how far we go with the hope of becoming all God desires for us to become.

Bricks of disappointment pave the road of progress. The greatest writers, most successful athletes, and most talented inventors convey their stories of how temporary setbacks played a crucial part in their success. Failure is never final, but quitting is! Those who endure the pain that comes with failing ultimately succeed in any endeavor. Success does not mean avoiding making mistakes; it simply means the ability to press on when failure comes knocking on the door. The only people who avoid failure completely are those who never leave their home and try. Also remember that:

  • We must not fear the pain of failure.
  • We must face it courageously as David did, and use it as a means to accomplish our destiny.
  • We must have the right attitude, so that failure is neither fatal nor final.

In Proverbs 24:16 the Bible tells us, “Though a righteous man fall seven times, he rises up again.” We must rise up also if we desire to experience true and lasting success in our lives.

Father, I thank You that I count it all joy when I fall into various trails knowing that the testing of my faith produces patience, character, and hope, and that hope will not disappoint me.

There Is No Subsitute For Becoming The Expert In Your Pursuits

“The governors reported to the vice-regents, who made sure that everything was in order for the king. But Daniel, brimming with spirit and intelligence, so completely outclassed the other vice-regents and governors that the king decided to put him in charge of the whole kingdom.”
Daniel 6:1-3 (The Message)

JUNE 11 - Read again how The Message says in Daniel 6:3, “…Daniel…so completely out-classed the other[s]…” That’s pretty impressive. I hope the same can be said of me. Do my spirit and my attitude put me head and shoulders above others? It is erroneous to think that we can accomplish all that God has planned for us without becoming the absolute best we can be in our chosen field of endeavor. The Scriptures tell us that we are to do everything as if we were doing it for the Lord Jesus Christ. We actually contradict God’s Word when we allow ourselves to slump into mediocrity or just-good-enough performances.

Once Joseph was fully persuaded that Mary would give birth to the Messiah, he did his best as an earthly Jewish father—carefully watching over mother and Son, taking the Child to the temple, and following God through specific dreams. God demanded Joseph’s best, and His grace empowered Joseph to accomplish it. God’s life within us demands our very best, and His grace empowers us to give it!

There is no way around it; God wants our best, and that’s what will take us to the next level of:

  • A place of promotion
  • A sphere of influence
  • A life of prosperity
  • A new area of fulfillment

Make the choice to move in the right direction and embrace change in your life.

Stronger Everyday - Confession CD

Dear Ladies,

In the times we live in, the temptation for us is to become weaker in most areas of life. Pressure to compromise is coming from every direction. God’s Word encourages us to stand and be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Philippians tells us to press toward God’s mark. The Proverbs 31 woman is energetic and strong. Now is not the time to grow weary in well-doing.

Our strength is from the Lord. As you listen to and confess these scriptures you will be empowered with strength and able to face the pressures that come your way.

My prayer is that you grow STRONGER EVERY DAY.

Enjoy,
Linda Thompson

There Is No Such Thing As A Shortcut To The Higher Levels Of Success In Life

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”
1 Corinthians 9:27 (KJV)

APRIL 23 - Moshe boldly attended lectures at the Hannah Meister School. What was so comical, courageous, and sacrificial about attending school you might ask? Well, the Hannah Meister School wasn’t just any old school. The Hannah Meister School was an agricultural training center in Dayan’s hometown—an all-girl training center for farming. Nonetheless, a dedicated cultivator of the land as well as a soldier, Dayan never chose the easy path.

There is a tendency in all of humanity to proceed down the painless path—–the one most often traveled. Let’s face it, we all want to eliminate pain from our lives, but in the attempt to take the easy road, we don’t possess the ability to maintain what we desire. It is like a high school student who does whatever he can to barely eek out a passing grade to get his diploma. He cheats, lies, and allows others to do his work. In his attempt to bypass the pain of studying and working hard to achieve a good grade, he foolishly overrides the preparation necessary for college.

Many believers live the same way. The Bible tells us God has great things in store for us, and that He has an exciting plan for our lives. But unless we embrace the season of preparation and pain, we are not ready to handle the heroic things God has for us to accomplish.

Never gaze dreamily upon the comforts of the easy road. And don’t look to override the crucial season of preparation. Enjoy the journey. Remember, life is not a race to be won, but an electrifying journey to be enjoyed!

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I discipline my body and I bring it into subjection lest after I minister to others, I myself become disqualified.

Your Pathway To A Miracle -CD

With comprehensive Biblical accuracy, Dr. Thompson refutes those who say the dispensation of miracles is over, and he gives irrefutable evidence that God is still in the miracle-working business!

God’s Word says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Faith will leap within you as you hear moving interpretations of Jesus’ performing miracle after miracle – from the restoration of sight to blind Bartimaeus, to the dramatic healing of the woman with the issue of blood.

God has a miracle for you! Build up your faith with this powerful word, and then reach out and receive it!

Success Is Only A Dream To Those Who Talk About It; It Is A Reality To Those Who Pursue It

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but
you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according
to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous,
and then you will have good success.”

Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)

JANUARY 15 - Intellectual Greeks, proud Romans, ancient Syrians, cultured Egyptians, fiery Arabs, colorful Persians, and worldly Babylonians occupied half of Palestine on the eve of Jesus’ birth. The other half was Jewish—a divine culture split into many rival, often hostile sects. But from the beginning, Jesus lived and breathed success. Let me remind you, however, success doesn’t come because you’re a nice person or because you yearn for it. Success only comes because you achieve it. You earn success by being willing to exchange your time and effort for what you desire.

Well known author, James Allen, says, “Achievement is the crown of effort.” No significant achievement in all of history ever came without paying a significant price. The marked effort you are willing to exert ultimately determines your success. Fulfilling your dreams and achieving your goals is your responsibility. God gave you the tools, but you are the one who must build the house, which represents your life. What kind of home would you like to have—large or small? It is your choice. You are the master architect, the chief builder, and the eventual homeowner. Your life is the result of your own construction. God supplied you with everything you need in order to build a great life. The only requirement is that you must build it according to your own standards of success.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that Your Word does not depart out of my mouth,
but I mediate on it day and night, and I do all I am commanded to do.
