NOVEMBER 4 - You become like those with whom you choose to associate. The moment the pursuit of Heaven becomes the primary relationship you desire, you begin to move up higher in life. Those who do not choose to pursue the things of God with the same fervor as you soon no longer walk with you.

Please remember, however, that you must always relate to God’s Word first and then to people, not vice versa. This is the critical mistake of even the most sincere believers.

We must always prize principle above relationship. Consequently, when one chooses the same principles as you, they truly walk with you. The disciples walked with Jesus because they followed His principles,
having disassociated with those who did not pursue God. So we also must not allow ourselves to believe that we can supercede those with whom we choose to associate. We are only as strong as the weakest link.

Father, I thank You that I no longer walk and live in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the path where sinners walk, nor sit down where the disrespectful gather. I choose to prize principle above relationship.
