The Only Time It Is Right To Look Down Upon Another Is The Moment You Are Bending Over To Pick Them Up

“Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.”
Romans 12:10 (NKJV)

JULY 5 - Only a select few—lowly shepherds, an elderly prophetess, a distant cousin, a devout Jew, and later…Wise Men from a foreign nation — only this delegated remnant honored Christ, the Son of the living
God. Only they acknowledged His lowly birth, while the rest of the world slept. But because He was indeed great, “The Greatest,” there was no need to boast. There is never a need to boast or brag of a higher status, because true greatness never boasts. Whenever you find anyone who sings his own praise, you can be certain insecurity and doubt float around as swirling debris inside his heart.

Allow your actions to convey to people your greatness, and be content without drawing attention to yourself. Rather, make a practice of sincerely highlighting the achievements of others. Whenever
you are tempted to boast, realize that there is a possibility you are probably not as great as you think you are.

As you begin to experience promotion in life, refuse to look down upon another. Remember where you came from, and remember that you have much to learn. See others as greater than yourself, taking the
posture of a servant. Your responsibility in life is founded upon unfeigned love—caring for the welfare of others more than your own. Walking in love causes your higher status to become a hand up for another. Samuel Milton Jones said, “What I want for myself I want for everybody.”

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I am kindly affectionate toward others with brotherly love. In honor I give preference to others.

Heaven Smiles Upon Those Who Possess “Humility Of Heart”

“God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us.”
Psalm 67:1 (NKJV)

JUNE 28 - An unassuming teenage virgin; an inconspicuous carpenter; a discreet birth; an unobtrusive Child—these people, and these circumstances possessed great humility of heart, refusing the nauseating pride that this world deceptively offers. We must never forget that Heaven shines favorably upon anyone willing to humble themselves. And humility takes on many forms.

However, for it to be genuine, humility must always first reside in the heart. Remember, God looks at our heart, while man looks on the outward appearance. Humility is proven by the attitude with which we serve another.

What is your attitude when you do what you have been asked to do? God delights in the humble; He moves towards the humble looking to manifest His power and glory through their lives. Humility is the open door that allows God to work, first in us, and then through us. Heaven desires to shine brightly upon believers, but until we humble ourselves, we are never able to experience God in this most excellent way.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I am crucified with Christ. I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. I now live by faith in Your Son who loved me and died for me.

The Only Time It Is Right To Look Down Upon Another Is When You Are Bending Over To Pick Them Up

“Be kindly affectionate to one another
with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another…”

Romans 12:10 (NKJV)

FEBRUARY 7 - As the capital of Hitler’s Third Reich from 1933 to 1945, Berlin was a boastful, gregarious city, singing praises of its famous museums, institutes, and theaters. During the last two years of World War II, however, 75,000 tons of explosives were dropped on Berlin, virtually destroying the largest city in Germany. Their boasting was harshly and brutally stopped. Now quietly settled among the great cities in
Europe, Berlin sits in tranquil humility.

There is no need to boast or brag of your advancement because true greatness never boasts. You shouldn’t have to. Whenever you find one who sings his own praise, you can be sure insecurity and doubt are in his heart. By allowing your attitude to convey that you are a man or woman of excellence, you continue to excel in everything you do.

Right now, why not begin to cultivate this attitude of increase, stalwartly refusing to look down upon another? Always seek to see yourself as lesser than those you are around. Take the posture of a servant. Samuel Milton Jones said, “What I want for myself I want for everybody.” With that humble intent, promotion has no choice but to track us down! Be kindly affectionate to one another, in honor giving preference to one another by terminating the brutality of boastful living.
