What You Receive From The Hand of God Is Dependent Upon What You Believe From The Word Of God

SEPTEMBER 29 - No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind can imagine what God so freely gives to His children. “Where is it?” you may ask. All of us must come to a point in our lives, especially when we experience circumstances contrary to the promises of God, when we truly wonder whether God’s Word is true. We feel as though we are missing it but not sure where to pinpoint the problem.

I have chosen to believe God and His Word regardless of what happens in my life. God is not a man that He should lie. If God said it, we must believe it. Jesus tells us, “Be it done according as You have believed.”

My present life is a by-product of the Word I believed yesterday. If we do not enjoy our present circumstances, we must examine what we truly believe. Is it God or is it what we see? The woman with the issue of blood received what she believed; I believe the same is true about you. Believe…your promise is on its way!

I have the faith of God and I use that faith to manifest the promises of God in my life. I believe God and I refuse to walk by what I see. God is not a man that will lie, but He is almighty God. If he said it, then I believe it. I receive what I believe.

Your Thoughts Are The Rudders Which Guide Your Heart Through Life

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,  bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NKJV)

SEPTEMBER 28 - “I’ll never make it;” “There’s no way;” “I know I can’t.” Never, No, Can’t—the thoughts we harbor in our mind are seeds that produce after their own kind. All self-limiting thoughts of weakness, failure, unhappiness, or poverty are harmful and self-destructing. Those thoughts are enemies attempting to hinder our future progress. The key is to strategically counterattack those thoughts whenever they try to take ground in our minds. They are the most devious of thieves, stealing your very ability to succeed. Also among their ranks are:

  • Bitterness
  • Resentment
  • Hatred
  • Suspicion

Even so, the apostle Paul tells us, “I see another law in my members, warring against the laws of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.” We are in a battle that is fought on the battlefield of our minds. However, Godly thinking is the elite stratagem, guaranteeing our victory. God gave us a secret weapon with which to fight—His Word spoken from our lips and carried out in our actions. We can use these weapons to bring every negative thought into obedience to Christ, replacing those thoughts with words like: Will, Yes, Can. If God did not say it, then we are not authorized to think it.

Father, I thank You that I hold the thoughts, attitudes, and purposes of Your heart.

You Are Destined To Win Wether Or Not You Do Is Up To You

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57 (NKJV)

SEPTEMBER 27 - Jesus realized this compelling fact and so should you—it doesn’t matter what the devil says or thinks about you, and it surely doesn’t matter if the devil says you are at a disadvantage because you don’t have the necessary background, education, training, or experience. You may have been surrounded by people who failed to realize their dreams, but that doesn’t mean you have to fail. I made the decision long ago that:

  • It does not matter how I was raised or from where I came.
  • It does not matter who the devil thinks I am.

I’m going to win! God gave me the victory! You may not be able to see the full manifestation of my victory right now, but stay by the sidelines and watch — because I am going to win! Remember this: It takes just as much effort to breathe and lose as it does to breathe and win. I’m not destined to lose! Neither are you!

Father, I thank You that You gave me the victory through Jesus Christ my Lord.

Immediately the prison door was flung open and you were free to live as a child of the King, with all its inherent authority, rights, and benefits. Did you walk out of that cage? Everyday Is A Gift Just Waiting To Be Unwrapped

“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalm 118:24 (NKJV)

SEPTEMBER 26 - After six days of preaching and ministering to the crowds, quite unexpectedly, Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother John aside.Charges like lightening bolts seemed to fill the air, and with every curious step up the rocky mountain, the towns beneath them decreasing in size, the three of them wondered: What is going on? What is the Master going to do now? Upon reaching the summit, they all realized this day would be like no other — the Master’s face shined as the brightest sun, His clothes glowed with whitest of lights. Then suddenly, two others appeared; instinctively they recognized them: Moses and Elijah! Peter began to speak, but a bright cloud overshadowed them all; a Voice thundered, declaring how the Father was well pleased with His Son — yes, that day was like a gift, just waiting to be unwrapped!

And every day God gives to man is a gift just waiting to be unwrapped. But how appreciative are you of the gift God gave you? How excited are you to find out what His gift contains? Our answers reveal a great deal about who we are. David declared, “We will rejoice and be glad in it.” There is no reason why the people of God should be discouraged and depressed. Jesus is on the throne, and God’s Word is still true as it ever was.

Today is God’s day. I know you may be going through some rough times, but God is there. He wants you to enjoy the gift He gave you. Today is a gift just for you. There is so much for which to be thankful; let us show God how much we appreciate His gift by rejoicing when times are rough and by being happy when we don’t feel like it. When you think of all He does, is this too much to ask? Certainly not!

Father, I thank You that You made this day; I rejoice and am glad. I choose to make it the best day of my life.

Character Is Developed By Learning The Delecate Art Of Respecting Authority

“And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.”
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 (NKJV)

SEPTEMBER 25 - Respect is a very interesting word. Society spent the last forty years dismantling the meaning of the word respect. As a result, many people don’t even know what this word means. They don’t respect themselves, let alone someone else! Nonetheless, respect is a powerful force, absolutely essential to multiply your life investment. Respect means giving attention to. Respect also carries the idea of holding others in high esteem or deeming others as distinguished and worthy. Think about it—

  • Who do you hold in high esteem?
  • To whom do you give your attention?
  • Who are the distinguished people in your life whom you consider worthy of honor?

Respect is a quality that lives on the inside of a person; it’s not just how a person acts on the outside. Respect deals with one’s motives, not just one’s actions. Choose to respect others today, but before you do—Respect yourself and know God thinks the world of you!

Father, I thank You that I recognize those who labor among me and are over me. I esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake.

Conduct Is The Mirror That Reveals Your Self-Portrait

“We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. We felt like grasshoppers next to them, and that’s what we looked like to them!”
Numbers 13:33 (NLT)

SEPTEMBER 24 - “I can never do anything right,” moaned the newly-wed wife in despair, gazing at the darkened pizza crust. “Now that’s not true and you know it,” her husband of four weeks soothed, flaking off bits of crust with a knife. “This pizza will be just fine, and anyway, you’ve made some delicious meals—some even tastier than my own mother.” Grateful for her husband’s insight and encouragement, she replied, “You’re right, sweetheart, I shouldn’t think that way.” We always act according to our inner self-image. Eventually, everyone must openly acknowledge what they genuinely believe about themselves. We can only fool ourselves for so long. Our conduct is the only proof of what we believe about ourselves. Those with negative habits continue in those habits because they persistently see themselves at that stagnant place. Talk to any teenager who doesn’t fit in and you will see why he acts the way he does. He believes himself to be an outcast, a reject, or a burden.

As believers, we must be sensitive to the actions of others. Many times people cry out, asking for someone to help them. They are bound by their own self-image. However, God desires for us to embrace the image He has of us. The moment we accepted Christ, we were crucified with Him, and He gave us a new identity. The only way we can ever truly live a life of obedience is by embracing the true image we have in Him. As we continue to meditate upon the truths of God’s Word concerning our identity, we soon respond as Joshua and Caleb did—with confidence in their God.

Father, I thank You that I am crucified with Christ. I no longer live, but Christ lives through me. I live by faith in the One who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Your Response To Trials Reveals Your Level Of Maturity

“But Joseph refused. ‘Look,’ he told her, ‘my master trusts me with everything in his entire household. No one here has more authority than I do! He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I ever do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.’ She kept putting pressure on him day after day, but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as possible.”
Genesis 39:8-10 (NLT)

SEPTEMBER 23 - The sharp aroma of the freshly trodden concrete wafted through the chilly November air; their new home’s foundation was finally complete. “Most important part,” the builder declared. “If the foundation’s not right, might as well start all over again.” Undeniably, the foundation of our lives (the most important part) is our integrity. The Bible repeatedly speaks of how important it is for us to have integrity
as the foundation of our character. Satan understands that if he damages a man’s character, he destroys his life. The list of Godly men who bowed to his temptations is countless.

Temptation is not exclusive to just one area of our lives; Satan tempts us in many avenues. He is like a lion prowling and seeking whom he may devour, viciously preying on those who diligently do the Word of God and build the Kingdom of God. And he comes with full force as he did with Jesus, hoping to knock us down completely. When Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus responded as a true man of integrity. He used his sharply-compacted foundation of the Scriptures and spoke the truth of God’s Word. Now we must do the same. Wherever you are tempted to doubt God’s faithfulness, speak aloud the promises of the Word of God, and continue to do so until He delivers you.

Father, I thank You that no temptation overtakes me. You are faithful, and You do not allow me to be tempted beyond what I am able to bear. You give me a way of escape.

Lack Of Time Can’t Produce Failure; Only Mismanaged Time Can

“There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under Heaven.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NLT)

SEPTEMBER 22 - The excuse of not having enough time is a safe haven for many who want to justify their lack of productivity. But let’s be entirely honest as you consider these five crucial questions:

  • How much of your time goes to waste on a daily basis?
  • How often do you have five, ten, or fifteen minutes without a clear focus?
  • How much time do you spend lingering in thoughts and actions that are unnecessary and unfruitful?
  • Do you keep track of your time?
  • Do you know what you need to accomplish each day?

Planning your hours is a difficult task initially, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll see how much time you actually have! You can be successful, not just financially, but in every area of your life. One of the requirements, though, is that you learn to make every moment of your day worthwhile. I’m sure you have a lot to accomplish, so make it happen, and refuse to make excuses. Doing so always leads you closer to your dreams than ever before.

Father, I thank You that I cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against knowledge of You, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Your Life Today Is A Result Of The Thoughts Of Yesterday

“Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…”
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NKJV)

SEPTEMBER 21 - The life you experience tomorrow is the direct result of the thoughts you plant today.

“I wish I was dead.” The hideous words were scrawled upon the dingy white wall of her closet; a shocking summary of the nagging, negative voices that attempted to overwhelm the teenager’s muddled mind. But just as soon as they came—“Aren’t you dressed yet?” totally unaware, her loving mother suddenly interrupted the girl’s tormented mind.

“You know it’s almost time for church, honey.” Dismissing the thoughts as hastily as they came, “I really do have a lot to live for. I don’t know where those thoughts came from; I know there’s something I am supposed to do.” When nagging, distracting, negative voices begin to torment your mind, you have to make the wise choice by saying:

  • No, I’m not listening to that!
  • I’m going to believe the Word, no matter what.
  • I’m not going to give up; I’m not going to yank God’s Word out of my heart.
  • God’s Word is everything to me.

No matter what you hear or from whom, search and discover what God has to say about it. Don’t care what anybody else says; find out what God says, and that’s what you should believe! That’s what you should plant securely inside your heart!

Father, I thank You that I cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against knowledge of You, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

The Word Of God Is The Greatest Map On The Journey Of Success

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

SEPTEMBER 20 - “I would like to say, ‘Good Morning, everyone,’” the radio announcer chattered with a sigh, “but with the rate this snow is falling, I guess whether or not it is actually good is left to your own discretion. For all you skiers out there, it’s probably a wonderful morning indeed!” Each day we wake up, we specifically choose what kind of attitude with which we live. We may erroneously think that others have the power to decide our attitude, but when it boils down to it, we make the decision of how we respond. By continually grafting the Word of God into who we are, we see instant results in all areas of life. We see ourselves becoming more patient, making wiser decisions, and avoiding evil.

We must, however, rely on God’s Word to lead the way toward His will for our lives. If God’s Word does not direct our steps, our destination will not be pleasant. I meet many people who are unhappy with the way life seems to presently be for them. They desire a great future but refuse to follow the guidelines established in God’s eternal Word to make it happen.

The Word of God transforms us when we begin to get our daily dosage of God’s success plan. It is a process, one in which we must be patient but willing to do whatever it takes to stay on the right path.

Father, I thank You that I am not conformed to this world, but I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. I prove Your perfect will in my life. I speak, think, and do the Word, and have good success.
