Your Future Prosperity Lies In The Present Confines Of Your Mind

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
3 John 1:2 (NKJV)

JUNE 20 - Prosperity has more to do with your mind than with your pocketbook.

  • Do you believe God wants you to prosper?
  • Do you believe prosperity is your right as a believer?
  • Or do you believe God wants people to be poor and needy?

Whatever you believe is evident in your life. Let me explain. People hold many beliefs about life intransigently formed by past experiences and rigidly directed by various people. After years of sustained
thought, those viewpoints become beliefs that govern and ultimately control your life. You and I are stringently governed by the core beliefs we hold. We act in accordance to what we truly believe, not just what we say we believe. If we believe God wants us poor, or that poverty is our destiny, life proves that for us. But if we believe God wants us blessed, life proves this to us as well.

We are a living prophecy of what we believe. What do you believe? Whatever it is, it just might be the very thing that precludes God’s blessings from your life. The Israelites believed they were grasshoppers in the sight of the giants and therefore never seized the Promised Land. Your future prosperity lies in the present confines of your mind. Believe and receive what God has for you.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that above all things I prosper and walk in health even as my soul prospers.

What is the ultimate prize that this world has to offer? The Nobel Peace Prize? An Oscar? A Super Bowl ring? A lucrative recording contract?

Certainly you can find all types of contests in which to compete and a host of valuable prizes to covet in today’s society. Are you equipped to win the prize and obtain the goal? In this package, Dr. Robb Thompson explains to you how to win the ultimate prize of life – the heart of your Heavenly Father.

Using illustrations from the lives of Biblical men and women, Dr. Thompson vividly portrays what it means to be a person after God’s own heart and how to do the necessary examining of your own heart in the process. He tackles the all-important topics of submission and covenant loyalty – scriptural concepts that are frequently shunned and swept under the collective rug in Christendom today.

As Dr. Thompson so succinctly asks, “What else do you have in life, if you don’t have the heart of the Father?” That’s a question only you can answer for yourself. Pursue the prize of your Father’s heart, and watch everything else in your life fall into place (Matthew 6:33).

You Are God’s Instrument Created To Heal His People

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for He has appointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors.”
Luke 4:18 (NLT)

JUNE 19 - Having followed the most unusual star the world had ever beheld, upon finding the Christ Child, the Magi, the Wise Men of the East, humbly knelt, placing the gifts of myrrh, frankincense, and gold at Jesus’ feet. Could they feel even then the healing strength that already characterized the young babe?

Today, God calls us to continue and complete the work of Jesus Christ and to bring His will to the nations. We are ambassadors of God’s Kingdom, commissioned on earth to rescue humanity. We are not here simply to idly relax and enjoy vacations.

God shed His love abroad in our hearts by His Holy Spirit, and expects us to love others as He loves us. We must never forget what God said in His Word, “Love never fails.” Remember,

• People are hurting.
• People are crying out for someone to come and help them.
• People want to be free, but they don’t know where to turn.

We must help those who are wounded and hurt. Jesus gave us the necessary tools to bring liberty to those in bondage: authority, instruction, love, anointing, and His Holy Spirit. It is time we take our place as instruments of God and begin to allow Him to love and heal His people through us. If God is going to do anything in the lives of others, He is going to use those of us who are ready and willing.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You for giving me the power to determine my attitude. I choose to have the same attitude as Christ Jesus, knowing that He trusted You even through death on a cross.

It Is not What Has Been Done To You That Decides Your Fate In Life But How You Respond That Determines Your Destiny

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”
1 Samuel 30:6 (KJV)

JUNE 18 - “I can’t believe divorce happened in my family,” the devout woman stated to her sister-in-law on the telephone one afternoon. “Who would have ever thought it?” But indeed, after several years of marriage and three handsome sons, for some reason, the husband and wife grew distant. Refusing to take sides or gossip about either family member, the sister-in-law wisely decided to step back and pray.

Whenever life doesn’t go the way you planned, step back and ask yourself: How can I respond to the situation? Remember, you are in charge of your attitude, so you cannot blame your response on anyone or anything but yourself. Understanding why you feel the way you do relieves a lot of your frustration.

Attitude is not based on circumstances or people. It’s all about how we choose to respond! A wife cannot blame her troublesome depression on her husband. An employee can’t blame his shoddy attitude on the boss. There’s always something positive to focus on. Discover it, and you are on your way to fulfilling your destiny!

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You for giving me the power to determine my attitude. I choose to have the same attitude as Christ Jesus, knowing that He trusted You even through death on a cross.

Excellence Is The Antidote Used To Stop The Deadly Disease Called Mediocrity

“Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before unknown men.”
Proverbs 22:29 (NKJV)

JUNE 17 - While mediocrity of spirit plagued the scribes and chief priests in Jerusalem as they ignored the Messiah’s birth, the Wise Men of the East paid attention to the spark that lit the Middle-Eastern air. A priestly class, most likely from the region of Persia, they lived in spiritual excellence—potently able to interpret dreams, blessed with supernatural visitations. Mediocrity cruelly infects all of mankind. In our contemporary culture, there is a magnetic pull towards mediocrity. People foolishly attempt to get by in life with the attitude of “just good enough.” That mentality eventually debilitates a person’s potential. The moment we do not press forward, we move backward. We must  continually rise above the temptation to accept the status quo.

The individual who does not desire to excel is deceived into thinking that going further is not worth the effort. However, God wants more for us. The desire to excel is really the desire for a fuller, richer, and more abundant life, which stems from God. When God enters a life, He deposits a relentless desire for betterment. Many quickly reject that desire, either because they have been taught conversely or because they consciously choose laziness.

Nevertheless, we must give our attention to principles of excellence. As in our example of the Wise Men of the East, people of excellence are tools God uses to influence kings and great men across the entire globe. If we neglect to become more, we reject our duty to allow God to express Himself through us.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I am a person who excels in my work. I will stand before great men and kings. I continually press forward to a fuller, enriched life that glorifies You.

Improvement Is Guaranteed To Those Who Are Williing To Make Even The Slightest Change

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,”
Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV)

JUNE 16 - The air was different in Palestine…lighter, friendlier, and more joyful. A magnificent improvement was happening to the people of Israel, a new Force was silently stirring among the people. During the time that Israel had been held captive by the Babylonians, idolatry cursed the Jews. But now, the Sabbath day was kept, the synagogues were filled, the Scriptures were read, and the rabbis were heard. Most Jews had been willing to change, but who would they now follow — the Sadducees, the Pharisees, or the Herodians? No doubt, Mary pondered meekly inside her heart: Will they eventually embrace the changes that my young Son will bring?

Unless you embrace the process of change, you will not grow. All significant change begins when you make the choice to dismantle the weights of life that hinder you from achieving your dreams. Those weights come in all different forms: wrong relationships, laziness, procrastination, negative attitude, mediocrity,  tagnation, and apathy. Letting go of these weights is not exciting, but the rewards of doing so definitely are.

Positive change is not as automatic as the washing machine in your laundry room. Change, you see, is a decision. It’s not an easy task, but those who make the choice never regret it. The Jews who eventually received the change of Jesus Christ were never the same. Once you decide what you want and who you want to become, relentlessly pursue the necessary change.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I am surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. I am a new creature, all things have passed away, all things have become new.

Money Is The Vehicle By Which God Finances Bring The World To Himself

“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
Deuteronomy 8:18 (NKJV)

JUNE 15 - The iron boot of Rome was distinctly felt throughout Israel. Roman standards waved proudly over the nation’s citadels, while Roman tax collectors gathered funds from almost every village and town. Jewish fathers were required to teach their sons a trade, so Joseph taught Jesus the skill of carpentry, grooming Him to become the well-known woodworker of Nazareth. Jesus’ example demonstrates that God gave us the power to get wealth so His covenant can be established. He desires His children to walk in abundance so that we can be financially equipped to generously fund the Gospel. So what is Heaven’s plan for the Church? To be so well established that the economy does not hinder the progress of the Church. God intends for His Church to flourish, regardless of the geopolitical temperature.

The covenant God made to Abraham cannot be established until we embrace the fact that God gave us power to generate wealth. Money is not evil. We must rid ourselves of that kind of thinking. On the contrary, money is not only a tool God uses to show His goodness to the world by lavishing His people with worldly possessions; its primary purpose is to finance the Gospel. When we begin to allow God to express His kindness and generosity through us, we begin to see financial abundance throughout the body of Christ. Money is a seed to be sown, not a possession to be hoarded. Remember, fear hoards while love gives. Choose today to become the greatest sower the Kingdom of God has ever known!

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that You give me the power to get wealth. I prosper in everything I set my hand to in order to establish Your covenant and finance Your Gospel.

The Day You Die To “Self” Is The Day You Begin To Live For God

“And you cannot be My disciple if you do not carry your own cross and follow Me.”
Luke 14:27 (NLT)

JUNE 14 - The day Mary forfeited her reputation, dying to self, was the day she fully began to live for God.The day Joseph forfeited his feelings and pride, also dying to self, was the day he fully began to live for God. There is a great price to pay for those who desire to live for God.

Living for God does not just happen through your confession; it must become evident in your actions as well. Jesus qualifies His true disciples as “those willing to die to themselves, take up the cross, and follow Him.” John the Baptist said it best when he made the statement, “I must decrease and He must increase.” The apostle Paul said, “for me to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

These were two men who changed the world by their sacrifice. Why? Because the moment you die to self is the moment you begin to live fully for God. God cannot use a man who is unwilling to die to  his own desires and wants.

We must realize that our greatest enemy is the one we see in the mirror. We hold ourselves back from truly being used by God. You may hear a man confess, “Lord, whatever it is You want for my life, I will go anywhere, but please don’t send me to Africa.” God cannot use a man like that. We must be willing to surrender our entire lives, as did Mary with her reputation and Joseph with his feelings, if we truly desire to be used by God.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I am crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but Christ lives through me and in me. I am a disciple of Christ. I willingly lay down my life for the cross of my King.

You Will Never Attract What You Want; You Only Attract What You Respect

“Anyone who loves a pure heart and gracious speech is the king’s friend.”
Proverbs 22:11 (NLT)

JUNE 13 - “Please place all your valuables inside the hotel safe,” warned the flyer placed conspicuously on the fifth-floor hotel suite’s polished desk. Removing her watch and rings, and ignoring the four major credit cards she considered safe inside her wallet, she disregarded the instructions. And money, well, she really didn’t know how much money she brought with on her latest trip out West. What was money anyway?

To respect something is to find it valuable. What we respect always moves towards us; what we disrespect moves far from us. This is the case of many people’s financial status. It is possible to disrespect money. We disrespect money by doing three things:

• Refusing to pursue financial counsel

• Refusing to sow

• Refusing to meditate upon Scriptures pertaining to finances

I have heard people say, “Money doesn’t make you happy.” But neither does poverty! The purpose of money is not to make God’s people happy. He alone is our sufficiency for happiness. Ecclesiastes 10:19 tells us, “Money is necessary because it solves problems.” When we respect money, we attract it to our lives.

Money is not only a tool, it is a weapon used to advance the Gospel to the ends of the earth. If we see money as having a purpose greater than possessions, we begin to attract more of it to our lives.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that You are my sufficiency. I find money valuable and choose to respect it, knowing that I then attract it. I thank You for giving me the tool to take Your Gospel around the world.

Prosperity Is An Internal Recognition Before It Is Ever An External Possession

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
3 John 2 (NKJV)

JUNE 12 - No one could dissuade them. Peering into Jesus’ eyes, holding Him closely, and tending to His needs, Joseph and Mary were intrinsically aware—they were prosperous in a way that no other parent could even hope to understand. They sought God with all their hearts, inwardly knowing that they held the Messiah in their hands.

Prosperity does not solely consist of one’s possessions. God did not design prosperity so we could attain nice cars, expensive jewelry, or fancy homes; He designed it so we would have more than enough to fulfill the assignment given to us. God has nothing against anyone enjoying material things, but we must seek to fulfill His will first before we can ever seek to enjoy the pleasures of this life. Jesus said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Although the world’s superstars, the country’s top athletes, high-paid fashion models, and television’s pop artists may have lots of money and toys of a fantasy world, they are far from experiencing true prosperity. The prosperity God desires for His people dwells within the pages of His Word. As we continue to plant the seed of God’s Word into our hearts, we soon see it manifest in our lives. His Word contains the provision we need for every area of our lives. The Bible tells us that, like Joseph and Mary, the diligent prosper. Those who diligently receive and fervently act upon the Word of God soon see abundant provision.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I prosper and am in health even as my soul prospers. I choose to speak and meditate upon Your Word knowing that I make my way prosperous.

There Is No Subsitute For Becoming The Expert In Your Pursuits

“The governors reported to the vice-regents, who made sure that everything was in order for the king. But Daniel, brimming with spirit and intelligence, so completely outclassed the other vice-regents and governors that the king decided to put him in charge of the whole kingdom.”
Daniel 6:1-3 (The Message)

JUNE 11 - Read again how The Message says in Daniel 6:3, “…Daniel…so completely out-classed the other[s]…” That’s pretty impressive. I hope the same can be said of me. Do my spirit and my attitude put me head and shoulders above others? It is erroneous to think that we can accomplish all that God has planned for us without becoming the absolute best we can be in our chosen field of endeavor. The Scriptures tell us that we are to do everything as if we were doing it for the Lord Jesus Christ. We actually contradict God’s Word when we allow ourselves to slump into mediocrity or just-good-enough performances.

Once Joseph was fully persuaded that Mary would give birth to the Messiah, he did his best as an earthly Jewish father—carefully watching over mother and Son, taking the Child to the temple, and following God through specific dreams. God demanded Joseph’s best, and His grace empowered Joseph to accomplish it. God’s life within us demands our very best, and His grace empowers us to give it!

There is no way around it; God wants our best, and that’s what will take us to the next level of:

  • A place of promotion
  • A sphere of influence
  • A life of prosperity
  • A new area of fulfillment

Make the choice to move in the right direction and embrace change in your life.

Father, I thank You for pouring out Your grace on me to help me become my absolute best in the areas to which You assigned me.

My prayer is that you grow STRONGER EVERY DAY.
