Welcome To Wisdom Devotionals

Committed One,

My background is anything but envious. It is one of handouts, hand-me-downs, eviction notices, witchcraft, alcoholism, and drug addiction. It appeared there was no way out, which led me to the door of insanity.

This happened primarily because I believed the lie that the image I was experiencing was the gloomy portrait of my future. Even as an unsaved teen, I knew I did not want to be like my ancestors; I despised my origin.

But there just had to be a way to take control of my life and change. But how? I didn’t have any answers, but I knew I sure wasn’t doing a very good job of things on my own.

To reach beyond the agony of my past, I had to find another solution. In 1975, in the dark halls of a mental institution, I found my answer in Jesus Christ. It was all or nothing for me. I did not give Jesus a half-hearted effort. I needed a way out, and I knew this was it.

That choice changed my life, and it can change yours as well. So now, the choice is yours. Why not start today by making the power-packed decision to change your life, directing it toward success?

Make the choice right now to create the future you’ve always wanted. Your old life is dead! No enemy can resurrect your past - only you can do that. Only you can revisit the antiquated, worn-down dwelling places of living and thinking.

You have been given the power you need to move in the direction of Heaven’s will for your life. Use this devotional as a vehicle to take you to the place where God’s voice can be clearly heard.

Humble Servant,

Dr. Robb D. Thompson
